This recovery program is top notch. There are no frills or addictive medications of any kind. The recovery is simply brotherhood and identifying with other young men who have gone down a bad path in life.
The experience for my sons (I have two in recovery) allows them to feel comfortable that they are not alone, have experienced similar life issues as others, develop confidence in themselves and build a new life with life skills that they would not otherwise have developed. My sons have learned about their shortcomings and how to deal with people who judge them. The transformation of my sons has been wonderful for me (as their Mom) to experience.
I highly recommend this program as it has worked for my sons and so many other boys that I have met and watched live this program over the last 20 months. The parent connections have also eased the anxiety of going through this experience.
My son had fallen so deep into his addiction that he had dropped out of school and sports, been in and out of jail and 'rehab' programs and hardly resembled the person he was.
The day I first stepped into New Life House, I had no idea that this was the program that would change everything. But I also felt how different it was and a glimmer of hope formed deep inside me. I met these boys, these young men who were polite and helpful and courteous. I couldn't believe they had once been like my son. Fast forward 5 years and my son is living not only a sober life but a full and happy life. The life he wants. New Life House does not just help these young men get sober, but they teach them the meaning of gratitude and respect not just for others but for themselves.
loved that by the time my son graduated, he had a job, had opened his own bank account, gotten himself health insurance and with 2 other guys from 'The House' had found his own place to live. He was responsible, tidy, spiritual and excited to live.
I am the mother of our son who entered the New Life House program at 19. I can't even begin to say enough about New Life House!! First of all...it saved our son and our family relationships!!
Once we were there meeting everyone in person we were so impressed with the spirit that the house had!! It was so clean, organized and brought us such a peace!! Normally upon leaving I would have been very upset, but That spirit of the New Life House continued and I just knew he was at the right place!! Our son knew this also!! Our son is now a graduate and has been sober for 22 months!!! He and his brother whom were really close have rebuilt their strong relationship and now live together in LA!!
I just thank everyone involved with New Life House for giving us our family back, giving us our son back, and showing us love at every turn!! Not only that...we gained an extended family with the wonderful young men of New Life House!!! I pray that more young men may find their way to this program!!
New Life House, was the ideal place for me to get and stay sober. I had been trying for years to get sober and nothing had worked for me until I came into new life house when I was twenty years old.
My goal was to drink and use until the day that I died. This house did more then separate me from drugs it helped me to obtain a sober lifestyle. What attracted me to stay was the group of guys who showed me that staying sober can be fun and enjoyable.
I found a sober fraternity of men here that are my age and we worked together to achieve a common goal which is to stay sober and to continue to better ourselves everyday. The set of morals and spiritual standards that are portrayed to me everyday here through example and experience allowed me to be successful for the first time in my life at staying sober.
This testimonial regarding New Life House is one which is heavily biased with respect to my own personalized experience going through this sober living. That being said, I feel compelled to shed some light on this establishment because it literally saved my life.
Not only that, but it cultivated and nurtured a foundation upon which I could lead a fruitful and successful life. Nowhere in the fine print - upon entering the house - is there promise of success and happiness.
That being said, simply by looking at the empirical evidence of those who have completed this process (fearlessly and thoroughly) as well as my own personal experience, I can say that: happiness, contentment, and quality of life seem to be the natural byproduct of going through this experience.
I'm Jeff and I went through New Life House from October of 2013 till May of 2015. I was 17 when I went into the program. Honestly, it's hard to put into words the amount of gratitude I have for this place.
It saved my life and healed my family. I was broken when I entered New Life House, and I was given a safe environment to get my life on track. I think the most important part of all of it is that I was given a community of guys around my age that showed up for me and cared for me.
I work at a restaurant to support myself, and I'm in school pursuing a degree in psychology. I feel a sense of purpose and happiness that I never thought was possible. All of this is due to New Life House and all that they did for me and continue to do for me, even though I don't live there anymore.
New Life, in a nutshell, saved my son's life. When Travis got to the house he was at the lowest point in his life - hopeless. One of the most important things he got from New Life was "a life."

Amazing, magical place! Unlike other "sober livings" where many of them are not as structured and managed and people are relapsing left and right! You can tell the minute you walk in the door that it has a healthy, positive vibe. So much gratitude for this place!
